Research activities are mainly based on the use of some bands of electromagnetic spectrum to perform active and passive measurements that allow, by means of appropriate algorithms and instrumentation, to reveal information content of object under test. The research is meaningful for different applications, namely in the fields of: Environmental Measurements, Remote Sensing, Biomedical Measurements, Clinical Engineering, Static and dynamic characterization of devices for Telecommunications and Opto-electronics, Industrial process identification and qualification, Reliability. By the way, through algorithmic modeling and circuits, many measurements techniques have been developing. The research area includes sensor systems, signal and imaging processing.
