Università del Salento is involved in the organization of the International Congress
“SUNLIFE Renewable Energy: from the past towards the Future” and
the "SUN-LIFE Ecomobility” Rally. These two connected events are part
of the SUNLIFE project in collaboration with Università del Salento (Italy),
Region of Epirus (Greece), the Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles (HEL.I.E.V.) (Greece)
and the Automobile and Touring Club of Greece ELPA.
- The Congress will cover the subject of renewable sources of energy and the future
possibilities for a maximum use in favor of environment and global economy. The Congress will
take place in Lecce (Italy) on the 21st of May 2008 (9.00 A.M.) in the conference room of the Rectorship,
a wonderful historical palace (Convento del Carmine - piazza Tancredi n.7) placed in historical center
of the city. In the courtyard of the palace visitors will have the chance to admire the cars that will be
involved in the Rally starting the day after.
- The Rally will start from Lecce (Italy) on the 22nd of May 2008 and will finish in Ioannina
(Greece) on the 25th of May 2008. The Italian leg of the rally will cover the path from Lecce to Bari
through the famous car racing track of Nardò. More information about the "SUN-LIFE
